Alaska Sues Mainland Over Polar Bears

This is certainly one of the more “interesting” lawsuits I’ve seen in a while. The state of Alaska is suing the U.S. for listing the polar bear as a threatened species.
The state argues the listing will hurt Alaskan oil and gas exploration, fisheries and tourism.
The US Fisheries and Wildlife Service declared the polar bear threatened in May, after determining climate change was melting the species’ sea ice habitat.
